EPDM consist of vulcanized rubber-based membranes that are compatible with almaost any roofing surface,including foam or asphalt -faced products.EPDM membranes are not compatible with and should never be installed with either plastic cement or dead- level asphalt.Never apply EPDM roofing to any roof that's subject to chemical discharge or covering a cold storage or freezer facility.the chemical may react to the EPDM and cold spaces vent too much moisture.EPDM is very durable .You can install EPDM systems loosely laid and ballasted,fully adhered or mechanically fastened.On re-roofs, remove gravel before installing insulation.
